What to Bring

Bring the following:

✔ Valid Maryland or Out-of-State Driver’s License

✔ Vehicle Title

✔ Proof of Insurance

✔ Bill of Sale (required if vehicle is 7 years old or newer)

✔ Bill of Sale (always required if purchased from a dealership)

If your Maryland safety inspection is already completed, you do not need to bring it — it is submitted electronically.

Bring:

✔ Valid Driver’s License

✔ Vehicle Title or Bill of Sale

✔ Proof of Insurance

No Maryland Safety Inspection required.

Bring one of the following:

✔ MVA Renewal Notice

or

✔ VIN Number

✔ Tag Number

✔ Driver’s License

If you need to renew a 30-day temporary tag, you must have a valid Maryland Safety Inspection completed.

The inspection is submitted electronically, so you do not need to bring the inspection certificate.

Bring:

✔ Driver’s License

✔ Temporary Tag Paperwork (if available)

Bring:

✔ License Plates

✔ Old Registration Card
